Storms River, South Africa, 4 February 2011 – Elvis tribute artists from all over South Africa will be rocking the Garden Route over the Worker’s Day long week-end in May. The Elvis Festival Africa is a home grown tribute to the King of Rock n Roll, Elvis Aaron Presley.

Scheduled to take place in the village of Storms River on South Africa’s dazzling Garden Route between 29 April and 2 May 2011, the Elvis Festival Africa is intent on becoming the biggest Elvis tribute outside the United Sates.

Rock ‘n Roll fans from all over the world are expected to descend upon one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations, so it’s best to secure competition entry forms, tickets and Garden Route lodgings as soon as possible.

About the Elvis Festival Africa

The brainchild of a local couple, the festival is more than simply a tribute to one of the greatest performers of all time. Local communities stand to benefit directly from the event, with 25% of all proceeds ploughed back into needy neighbourhoods.

Apart from performances by a host of Elvis impersonators, the festival will also showcase local produce in a number of stalls. Two competitions, the Miss Marilyn Pageant and the Garden Route’s Got Talent – the Elvis Way, are regular features of the programme. The SA Elvis Fan Club will be on hand to host activities and to kit out the memorabilia shop for Elvis enthusiasts.
