UNITED STATES, Wisconsin (February 2011) – Iso-Tip announces a wide selection of butane torches including the new Titan mini-torch. This full line of hand held torches are used in a wide range of activities from the electrical prototyping to industrial maintenance.
In industrial settings the torches can be used for standard soldering repair or prototyping. The torches are often used with standard solder wire, flux core solder, free solder, silver based solder paste or other metal bonding pastes. Allowing easy access to solder joints and wire these devices are used to repair equipment already installed on aircraft and other transportation vehicles. By using a simple solder paste with a butane torch a standard wire nut connection can be made far more robust with little effort.
For the Solder Pro series of torches the various tip options allow the user to select just the right tip for the type of soldering they need to do. Adjustable flow controls allow for precise temperature management. Other tips for the solder pro series allow for a hot knife effect, a typical flame torch as well as a flameless torch.
Other products like the Micro Therm flameless heat gun allow for quick and easy management of shrink tubing or similar products. The cost effective single source solutions are great when the user knows they don't need a wide range of functionality from the individual device. This way they can benefit from the heat dispersion shield and the simple trigger handle that isn't as appropriate for the multiple application tools.
One of the best sellers in the line is the Solder Pro 50. This portable butane soldering iron is a classic work horse for soldering. Reaching soldering temps of 410-750ºF in a few seconds the iron is equivalent to a 30-70 watt electrical iron. It can be stored in the tool box for months and theirs now worry about recharging it. Switch to the torch tip and you can be melting metal at it's 2400ºF flame temp in no time. This makes it great for all sorts of metal-craft projects.
