Virtosoftware has released a new Microsoft SharePoint web part for convenient viewing images from the document library - Virto Image Slideshow, compatible with both SP 2007 and SP 2010.
Virtosoftware expands its SharePoint product line presenting Virto Image Slideshow - the first Virtosoftware graphic web part. A simple and effective component allows users to conveniently and quickly view images from the SharePoint document library. The web part is fully compatible with both SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010 and supports all graphic formats.
To set up the web part one needs just to specify a document list that will serve as a data source for the images to display in a slideshow. Further, it is enough to adjust the slideshow style, choosing visual and transition effects, transition speed, display order (random or ordered), image descriptions, width and height of the screen.

* Organizing slideshows with pictures from SharePoint document and picture libraries
* Filtering of displayed images
* Applying different views for slideshow
* Relating URLs and descriptions to slideshow pictures shown after clicking them
* Ability to define size of displayed images

Current release is the very first version of Virto Image Slideshow. As in the case of all other Virtosoftware products, Virto Image Slideshow will be constantly improving and updating. The nearest future plans include implementation of multi data source support (different document lists, URLs and folders), new slideshow styles and effects as well as other new features.
