Ernst & Young, a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services, has announced that Norvax Co-Founders Clint Jones and Brandon Cruz are among the finalist for its Midwest Region Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
The award recognizes exceptional entrepreneurs in Illinois and Indiana. The finalists were selected by an independent panel of regional community, business and academic leaders.
“We’re honored by this recognition, but it’s as much a recognition of the contributions of everyone in our company as it is of just the founders,” said Cruz, president of Norvax. “Our 125 talented employees have been instrumental at putting Norvax at the forefront of delivering technology and resources that have helped thousands of insurance agents and carriers dramatically increase their service and results.”
Cruz and Jones, the company’s chief executive officer, launched Norvax Inc., the health insurance industry’s leading provider of sales automation and web marketing technology, in 2001 and quickly grew it into an industry leader. In 2008 and 2009, Inc. Magazine named Norvax among the Top 20 fastest-growing technology companies in the Midwest.
“For nearly a decade, our web resources have helped consumers nationwide connect with knowledgeable insurance professionals and find the best policies to fit their needs,” said Jones. “But from the moment we envisioned and created the first multi-carrier quote engine for the health insurance industry, we’ve also been dedicated to developing the user-friendly tools that agents and carriers need to succeed in our rapidly evolving marketplace.”
Norvax continues to launch new technology to help brokers automate their marketing, increase their sales and improve their productivity. The Midwest regional finalists will be recognized at a gala event on June 24, 2010, which will also announce the winner. Regional award winners will be eligible for the 2010 national award, which will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 14, 2010.
