Ballet

A particularly difficult form of dance to achieve, ballet takes a lot of practice to master, one of the sole reasons why children start at such a young age.
Typical ballet Clothing and Accessories
If ballet sounds of interest to you, something worth bearing in mind is that if you are going to start dance classes you must have the required clothing in order to participate. Ballet dancers typically wear a leotard, a unisex skin-tight garment that covers the torso in addition to pointe shoes. The vast majority of ballet dancers also wear tutus.
Tutus
Tutus are skirts worn by ballet dancers when appearing in a ballet performance. Tutus are often attached with a bodice, and come in a variety of styles including a single layer which hangs down, or multiple layers which are starched and jut out. Available in a variety of materials, tutus are commonly made from muslin, organdy, tarlatan, tulle, voile or nylon.
