The Government has made it mandatory for workers involved in the Uncontrolled Hazardous Waste Operations to take up certified training courses before they start working onsite.
Therefore, we at Hazwoper Trainings, introduce the 40 hour Hazwoper training course for all those workers who are actively participating in the voluntary clean-up operations, emergency response operations and the storage, treatment and disposal of hazardous substances and uncontrolled waste.
For better understanding, we have included all the topics that come under the 29 CFR 1910.120 of the OSHA regulations. This course has been reviewed and approved by OSHA. The seat time is 40 hours and there are no prerequisites required by trainees to sit for this course. The objective of this course is to teach the employees the role of OSHA in maintaining labor occupational health and safety. Workers should be able to identify the presence of hazardous substances in work places and also know how to read and understand the Material Safety Data Sheets. The importance of Personal Protective Equipment and their usage and maintenance will also be taught to the trainees. Our certified instructors will also help trainees develop a full-fledged plan for Site Control so that workers' exposure to risks at work sites is limited.
The different topics for this course include toxicology, site characterization, air monitoring, decontamination, etc. Trainees will also be taught the various site control methods, material sampling, emergency procedures, types of chemical and radioactive hazards and much more.
We have also included small quizzes between each chapter to maintain the interest levels of trainees throughout the training. Students have to clear these quizzes in order to proceed on to the next. The final exam needs to be cleared with a minimum of 70%. If required, the trainee can have 2 more attempts at no extra charges.
