Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar on Sunday became the first batsman to score 50 centuries in the history of Test cricket during his innings against South Africa at the Super Sport Park, Centurion. Sachin achieved this landmark while playing his 175th test match with Indian captain M S Dhoni partnering him on the crease and piling a score totaling to 170 runs. In his 22 year old career the brilliant batsman holds every possible record in the game! His game has won him fans to the point of worship not only in India but all over the world!!
In this video Sachin comes out with some of his secrets behind his luminous career. The most important thing the batsman said was to prepare oneself before the matches which was most vital and which adds to the confidence. He said that one ought to give his best effort and prepare well before one goes out there to play. Sachin said that he believed in controlling the controllables, and leaving the rest to the Almighty. His pre-match preparations make him confident, fearless and help him reaffirm faith in his oneself, preparing him at the same time for success and failure both.
The current coach of the Indian cricket team, Gary Kristen, commended Sachin’s work ethics and added that he starts preparing for the test two days in advance. Even though he is the senior-most batsman in the side, he spends the maximum amount of time in the nets. Kirsten also said that all the youngsters can take a lesson from this.
Sachin also speaks of team work, which according to him is very significant and reveals how the team plays up to support the players who are in great form. Encouragement, along with the infrastructural support, is the key element in the development and growth of a professional player, said the ace cricketer. Emphasizing the power of dreams, the sportsman also said that it was necessary to prepare and build the ability to chase our dreams!!
