Patiala House is a cross generational drama set in Southall, England. The film has Akshay Kumar as Gattu, who belongs to a traditional and conformist family. Gattu is faced with the predicament of pursuing his dreams of a cricketer or give in to the wishes of his father, who wants him to be a part of the family business. Conflicts of interests, choices, values make up the core substance of the film. Gattu’s focus in life changes after he comes across Simran (Anushka Sharma), who makes him realize his true aspirations.
