PartnerPoint is a company which manages a partner list of all certified and qualified Microsoft companies on a particular network. This list is always changing as more partners are added once they meet the qualifications. As the network partner list is always adding new Microsoft partners, customers constantly have a wide selection to choose from.

Customers have the ability to search for a partner on the Microsoft Network in two different ways. The first way is to do an independent search. This search allows each customer to use the search engine provided on the website of PartnerPoint to search the database. The customer may either search for a partner in the Microsoft Company Network directory or the software directory.

The information a company must have in order to complete this search is basic geographical information and the industry type one is looking for. The search engine allows a customer to specify a company within a given number of miles. Additionally, the customer may search using the name of the company. This search will be tell the customer whether or not the company is a certified Microsoft partner on the network.

A second way to search for a Microsoft partner through the network is to let PartnerPoint do the work for you. This search is called the Match Maker Program. Each customer will need to submit their IT requirements including any problem a company may be experiencing. Other information such as contact information, company location, and type of industry will also need to be provided. PartnerPoint will then search the network for a Microsoft Partner who has the experience necessary to handle the IT requirements submitted.

This Match Maker Program is completely free of charge and is a good way to get in contact with a company that can help. This program is not reserved for only those companies who are experiencing current IT needs. Companies may want to get in touch with a partner in the event an IT need arises. For these companies, the Match Maker Program will ask for a bit of information regarding the current IT platform and then search for a Microsoft Partner in the network.

PartnerPoint helps match a Microsoft Partner from the certified list in the network to companies who are experiencing IT needs. These companies can be found by doing an independent search or allowing PartnerPoint to carry out the search on behalf of the customer.
