“The idea behind putting plants into the fish tank is not only to decorate it, but for several other benefits” said Mary Allan of fish-tank.co.uk.
“Putting plants into your fish tank make great places to hide and spawn for your fish. Also they help to keep your fish tank water clean and healthy by reducing its carbon dioxide level” he explained. “Most of the fish love to eat these plants hence they provide great foods for your fish” she further explained.
“Most of these plants need high level of light to stay live and to grow. If you have tried to put plants in your tank only to have them wither and die after a few weeks. Therefore place a bright bulb for your fish tank to keep green plants with beautiful nature look” she said.
“There are many kind of fish tank plants are available to buy. Some popular plants are Amazon sward, Moneywort, Wisteria, Anubias Anugustifolia and Java Moss” she started to explain. “Amazon Sward needs good lighting and fertilization. It has long narrow flowing leaves and can grow up to 50 cm tall. If it has a right environment, it grows fast. But Anubias Anugustifolia does not need much lights and easy to grow in fish tanks. This plant is a slow grower and need temperature between 20 and 30 degrees of Celsius” she continued.
“ Moneywort is another plant can grow in fish tank easily. This plant also does not need much light. But Wisteria need much light and it is a wonderful plant for your fish tank because it helps to prevent the growth of algae in the tank by absorbing nutrients from the water” Said Mary Allan.
“Java Moss is one of the easiest plants you can grow in your fish tank. It does not need much light and it attaches itself to rocks or wood in the tank and its mossy tendrils extend upward to a height of 5cm” she said.
“Now I believe that you have much idea about fish tank plants and so add plants to your fish tank to keep it healthy and beautifully” she concluded.
