Past Lives: Nero a Case History Part 1

The first question most people usually ask me when they know that I specialise in past life regression is, “Have you come across many clients who go into the past lives of famous people?” The answer to that in all honesty is “No.” I have however worked with a few people who I genuinely believe to be authentic reincarnation of a historical figure. Others just seem to be tapping into the Akashic records (The Sanskrit word meaning the cosmic library in a non physical plane of existence, where all knowledge of human experience is stored.) I feel that these experiences are legitimate when the person under hypnosis can really relate to the lifetime in a really remorseful way. Yes, we have all read articles in the newspaper when therapists’ take people into the life of Marilyn Munroe, Princess Diana and other famous people.
However my belief is that unless the individual they are working with feels a deep desire to resolve everything that happened in that lifetime, the client is probably just tapping into their own desire to be connected to fame or fortune and the therapist is just indulging them through some need of their own.

One of the most specific examples of this is when I worked with is a client who went into the life of the Emperor Nero.
Many years ago I worked with a young man who was deeply troubled. He really didn’t understand why he had the feeling that he had done something terrible. He felt like this, for no apparent reason, ever since he could remember. He told me that he knew he was holding on to a deep sense of shame and guilt but he didn’t understand why.
When I regressed him he found himself in Roman times with opulent surroundings. He said that he seemed to be in charge and everyone bowed to his every wish. He kept repeating that he was being blamed for setting the fire. At the time I didn’t really understand where he was going with this so I instructed him to go a little further forward in time and tell me what was happening now.
He seemed agitated and told me that he had to redirect the blame away from himself by accusing other people. I asked him if he thought this was the correct thing to do and he promptly told me that he was the leader, the emperor and he could do what he liked. He came over as very arrogant and very much in charge. So different from the shy young man I had lying on my treatment couch. I asked him his name and his told me The Caesar know as Nero.
