Drilling Our Way Out Of Our Oil And Economic Crisis

We send $400,000,000,000.00 out of this country every year for oil. With just the simple OK to drill, we could drill ourselves out of this oil crisis. There is no reason for us to be dependent on any foreign oil source. All of that money could be spent here in the United States. Un-employment would go down and the economy would simply skyrocket.

Windsor, CT ( prbd ) May 12, 2011 - It is no secret that America is struggling to provide for her citizens. Years of poorly made choices by her government leaders combined with the large amount of overspending has unfortunately left many Americans seeking out government help through programs such as food stamps, Medicaid and cash assistance. If such Government programs are experiencing budget cuts, then more people will be left hurting and in need of more help. It’s as if America is on a horrible cycle; one that pushes people to seek help but with so many people needing government help allotted funds are quickly drained.

With so many empty promises being tossed around in Washington regarding how to solve our ever rising oil and economic crisis, it seems that no positive change is anywhere in sight. The cost of living has increased to the point that many lower and middle class families have lost hope. The oil needed to fuel vehicles so that Americans are able to get to work and back is quickly becoming unaffordable. This sadly creates a cycle of lost income that in return means less and less money is being spent on other aspects of the economy.

With little to no money being had, people are choosing to sacrifice luxuries they once enjoyed in order to afford fuel for their car. The more time Americans spend at home saving money means there are fewer Americans out spending money. Without money being spent, industries such as the travel and retail begin to suffer creating a threat to their own existence. Change needs to happen and it needs to happen quickly.

Does it make sense for America to help provide wealth and stability for foreign countries when her own country is on shaky ground? How much wiser would it be to utilize the assets that America has to offer her people by drilling for oil here in America? If those in leadership of this great nation would only choose to grant permission for drilling to occur, they would fulfill their promise of change by opening more jobs, lowering fuel costs and freeing up funds needed for government funded programs such as Medicaid and Food Stamps. In doing so, fewer people would need to take advantage of these benefits.

There is no denying that many Americans are struggling to survive. So why not put an end to it? Just say yes to drilling our way out of our oil and economic crisis.
