A new website from a Doctor Who sound designer and independent music producer offers free music, discounts and downloadsfor signing up to newsletter.

Somerset, UK, May 27, 2011 -- Film and TV composer Elliot Simons has just launched a new website featuring all his music cues & compositions. The new site offers visitors free music tracks, discounts & other free downloads when signing up to the Elliot Simons Newsletter.

Elliot Simons ( http://www.elliotsimons.com ) production cues are used on Playstation&iPadgames such as Gemstone Dragon, Pharaoh’s Quest, Jewel Master, Run Ghost Run and Pride & Prejudice & Zombies.Music usages for radio ads includeSainsburys, Gaviscon, The Daily Telegraph and The Harry Potter Theme Park.

He also composes the music and sound design for the BBC’s Doctor Who & Sarah Jane Adventure audio drama releases (under his given name of Simon Power). He has now post produced over 30 of these releases which are readings of the classic Doctor Who Target Novels of the 70’s and 80’s.

"As more and more people were using my music in a variety of ways I thought it was about time to offer easy access to my catalogue." Says Simons. "And to celebrate the launch, I’m giving away a number of free downloads. Just as a way of saying ‘welcome to the site’."

His music can be licensed for a range of usages and was recently heard on Top Ten YouTube phenomenon, The Chronicles of Rick Roll. "It was great to hear my track The Secret Path used in the opening sequence." This trailer has now totted up over 700,000 hits and is earmarked to become a full length feature film.

Recent work includes a film score for a new movie by director StianHafstad.

The Elliot Simons ( http://www.elliotsimons.com ) track Celtic Requiem is another YouTube smash with hits of over half a million. "I recorded that piece in 2005. It made its way onto lots of download sites and then it suddenly took off. I love the way it was used in the climax of the film, The Machine Stops. Really quite chilling. Even for me, and I produced it!"
