It is an ideal solution for any number of vertical markets such as asset tracking and inventory management, event attendance or personnel access control, fleet maintenance, in the warehouse or on the hospital floor.
This rugged handheld RFID reader/mobile computer, model 243004, operates under the powerful Microsoft® Windows® CE .NET 4.2 OS running on an Intel® XScale® processor and reads most ISO 14443A, ISO 14443B and ISO 15693 tags. Using advanced encryption and authentication techniques, this RFID reader is able to read and write tag IDs and data blocks as well as protect the data on compatible transponders for privacy and security purposes. This unit boasts two unique and innovative features of great benefit to the user. Its exceptional antenna allows for the reading of tags in practically any orientation, overcoming problems associated with tag orientation in supply chain applications. As well, the unit contains a hardware/software scheme, "Software Defined Radio" (SDR) architecture, which enables the RFID reader to support future tags and protocols via software upgrade while maintain existing hardware. This represents a great potential cost savings. Additionally, this mobile reader is fully customizable including options for case color, protective bumpers, keypad, logo and cables. It communicates with a computer via an RS-232 serial port for data exchange.

This line of products includes a wide variety of RFID readers such as 433 MHz Active RFID L-Series Reader with Ethernet which detects and decodes RF transmitted signals from the Wavetrend family of tags, 13.56MHz HF Pistol Grip Portable Reader/Writer which is specifically designed to read RFID tag data in the 13.56MHz access range, and can simultaneously perform real-time data transferring to a host computer , and other similar products.
