Insurance training Centre gets affiliation from Insurance Institute of India

The Insurance Training Centre, the training wing of The Insurance Times monthly Journal has been granted affiliation as an accredited learning Centre by Insurance Institute of India for the Kolkata region.

Insurance Training Centre (ITC), a unit of The Insurance Times monthly Journal has been granted the affiliation to act as accredited learning centres by Insurance Institute of India(III) in Kolkata. As an accredited learning centre of Insurance Institute of India the Insurance Training Centre would be enrolling candidates for the examination, supply course material, provide coaching facilities for all examinations of III.

Insurance Training Centre has been a pioneer in the insurance education in India. It was started in the year 1993 for providing training and coaching for various subjects in insurance and risk management field. This was the first centre to start a correspondence course for corporate insurance executives in the year 1995, to get overview and practical knowledge of the insurance industry. ITC got the accredation from Insurance Regulatory And Development Authority in the year 2002 and was the first centre in Kolkata to get such accredation. Till now ITC has trained around 25,000 insurance agents.

ITC has also plans to launch certificate and diploma courses in various branches of insurance and risk management in both off-line and online mode. It is already arranging training and coaching for licentiate, associate and Fellowship courses of III.

Commenting on getting the accredation from III Dr Rakesh Agarwal, incharge said “Getting accredation from insurance Institute of India is like a feather in our cap. We had been in the field of insurance training since last 18 years and with this accredation we shall be further able to expand our training and coaching activities in the Eastern region. We shall have flexible timings for enrolment of candidates for various examinations of III and we shall be providing door-to-door service to help the candidates to register from their workplace”

The insurance training Centre has been sponsored by The Insurance Times, the first monthly journal on insurance in India which has completed 30 years in publication. The Insurance Times group is a leading publication house on insurance books in India. The group had recently launched General Insurance Year Book, Health Insurance in India - Review, Guides for Licentiate and several other books successfully.
