An online survey asked members whether it was more important having a relationship in the winter than in the summer and it revealed that at least 30% of people need a date more in wintertime.
The results correspond to other statistics which show that every year dating site memberships increase massively around the Christmas period.
The dating site found that people under 30 years-old need a winter date more so than those over 30, with 50% of 18-29 year-olds saying yes, in comparison to only 25% of those aged 50-59 years old.
A massive 74% of those surveyed aged 30-39 years old did not think it was vital to have a date in the winter more so than the summer, which means they do not necessarily look for someone to kiss under the mistletoe.
The survey further exposed the difference between genders in seasonal dating, with more females (32%) looking for that special someone around Christmas time as opposed to males (29%).
