Vivekananda 150 Jayanti website launch at the hands of Padmashree Dr. Vijay Bhatkar
Pune, September, 18, 2011 - Vivekananda Kendra has initiated a process for the grand celebration of 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda which is approaching in the year 2013. The first event of that initiative was the launch of an interactive website http://www.vivekananda150jayanti.org/. The website was launched at the hands of world renowned computer scientist Padmashree Dr. Vijay Bhatkar in Pune. The interactive portal has been designed and developed by Dimakh Consultants, Pune.
Starting from September 2012 till the year 2014, the website will see a lot of features being implemented and used by the followers across all corners of India and the world. The website will showcase all the upcoming events as well as give all details of the events recently concluded. A very informative gallery with photos, videos and audios is present and it will cover a lot of events and host many earlier data as well for archives.
The website will be used to run multiple levels of QUIZ for youngsters and youths and will help to spread the knowledge about Swami Vivekananda thoughts and teachings. The site will also update a quote every day from the collections of thousands of thoughts of Swami Vivekananda. A facility to purchase various books and other publications has been made available via the Vkendra eshop. The website will host a blog called "Wake up Bharat Blog" which give a lot of information about various topics. The site will eventually evolve in multiple languages ad will reach out to masses.
The entire web application is based on drupal the open source platform and has been designed, developed and implemented by Dimakh Consultants Pune.
