Top members of HMH – Hospitality Management Holdings, led by President & CEO Michel Noblet will be in UK from November 7 to 10 to attend the World Travel Market (WTM).
“WTM is one of the most prominent trade shows and a great platform to market our brands to the global travel trade representing diverse segments and markets. It presents us a unique opportunity to meet, network, negotiate and conduct business with international players that leverages our appeal among a much wider audience. Within the next 8 to 10 months we have 10 new hotels opening across the Middle East and Africa and it is the perfect time to introduce them to the global trade.”
Accompanying Michel will be Girma Wossenseged, Vice President – E-Commerce Development; and Sadiq Iqbal, Director – Sales & Revenue Management.
Aside from emerging markets like Russia, China, Korea, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Brazil, Coral Hotels & Resorts has been intensifying its focus on European markets such as UK, Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, Belgium and Poland. Sadiq said, “These countries represent undeniable opportunities for our brands as we are witnessing a significant increase in the number of guests from these markets. Like all new frontiers, they represent an exciting mix of business opportunities for our group.”
Currently European countries account for about 20 - 25% of total group business for Coral Hotels & Resorts and Corp Executive Hotels. This is expected to increase substantially in the coming year.
Girma too places an enormous bet on this highly popular trade show. “WTM is a surefire winner. There is a huge potential of growth for our brands. We are banking on high returns from e-commerce and the bulk of the bookings in the highly advanced European world are done online. WTM is the ideal platform for us to introduce our products to the international travel trade. Additionally, it also gives us an insight into the latest developments in the industry so we can keep ourselves at par with the best.”
Highlighting the company’s growth strategy, Michel said, we are in the midst of rapid expansion and have several new projects under development and many more under negotiation across the Middle East and Africa.
Founded in 2003, HMH will have 50 hotels operational before the end of 2012, totalling 4,783 rooms with 3,200 staff across the Coral, Corp Executive and Ewa brands.
