BT Diamond IP, a leading provider of software and appliance products that help customers effectively manage complex IP networks, has expanded its global distribution footprint by establishing warehousing capability in five countries worldwide. The global locations include: U.S., China, Germany, India and Singapore.

With distribution centers in both hemispheres, customers around the world will now enjoy faster response time for upgrades/replacement shipments of BT Diamond IP’s award-winning IPControl™ IP Address Management (IPAM) and Sapphire DNS/DHCP appliances. “Our Sapphire appliance products have been very successful in the marketplace with many customers deploying them around the globe,” said Michael Dooley, Vice President of BT Diamond IP. “Expanding our distribution presence throughout the world enables us to better serve our clients’ global IPAM requirements with around-the-clock responsiveness and shorter shipping hops from more locations.”

With global demand for IP address management (IPAM) solutions continuing to grow, BT Diamond IP is now better positioned to serve customers around the world. IDC has forecast that from 2008 to 2011 global IPAM sales are expected to grow from approximately $328 million to $425 million. From 2006-2011 the North American market is expected to grow 13.6 percent on average; Western Europe, 14.5 percent; Asia Pac 13.8 percent; and rest of world, 8.4 percent.*

BT Diamond IP believes this global growth in demand is driven by several factors: the growing complexity of IP networks, the mission-critical role they play in enabling enterprises to conduct business, and the economic value automated IPAM systems deliver.

As softness in the global economy continues, automated IPAM systems become a more attractive investment. For example, a recent commissioned study conducted by Forrester Consulting on behalf of BT Diamond IP examined an existing BT Diamond IP customer with global reach and 60,000 employees, and found the company experienced a 242 percent risk-adjusted return on investment with breakeven within six and a half months of full deployment. In addition, the company was expected to save nearly $3.4 million over three years, based on reallocation and reduction in headcount, productivity savings, and reduction in servers and associated licensing, maintenance and power costs.
