Anger management is a growing societal concern in the US today. Every single day there are stories in the news of persons losing their tempers and experiencing this rage or that. Joseph D Hayes is a licensed counselor in the state of Texas. He has 5 years experience working with the criminal justice population at an Out-Patient Substance Abuse Clinic. It was at this facility that Hayes began his anger management studies. He has been certified in the Anger management “RETHINK” program. Following his participation in this program Hayes developed a model called cool anger; which combines educational, awareness, insight, cognitive & real life applications to bring clients into the self empowerment to change. Mr. Hayes believes angry reactions are learned behaviors and incorporated thoughts that were utilized as coping mechanisms in life development. Mr. Hayes has a Master of Science in Community Counseling from Texas A&M; is licensed as a Professional Counselor in the State of Texas; Is a Nationally Certified Counselor by NBCC; is a registered & certified Hypnotherapist by the American Board of Hypnotherapy and is a Certified Anger and Depression Specialist.
