Carpet over-locking refers to the practice of sewing the sides of the carpet to make them look attractive and prevent them from fraying or unraveling. They are also used to create mats and rugs so that they can be put to good use. Country Rugs and Carpets in Mandurah are the only Company in the whole of Mandurah to offer carpet over-locking. The process is done through special sewing machines called overlockers. It takes diligence to do the work, because the colour used for the process should be as close as possible to the colour of the year, or the end result would look hideous.
"We often advise customers to get their carpets over-locked to maintain the longevity and the quality of the weave. The work is carried out at their shop, and customers choosing to get their carpets over-locked can always visit us anytime between 8am and 5pm, or give us a call. It does not take more than a few days to complete the process, and the new mats can be used to colour coordinate the rugs" says the spokesperson.
