SendThisFile® today announces full compliance with Massachusett privacy law. The state of Massachusetts recently enacted laws seeking to protect consumers from identity theft and fraud by placing liability on companies for security breaches and consumer information leaks.
"Early on we recognized that by complying with strict Massachusetts laws we would serve all of our customers who send large files online as well," said John Stephens, SendThisFile VP of Operations.
The Massachusetts General Law Chapter 93H and it's related regulations require a regularly audited plan to protect personal information of their residents, increased company liability, limited data collection, and a focus on routinely monitored security practices.
