"Architectural Visions Inc. (AVI), a Marvin Design Gallery, Atlanta’s exclusive source of Marvin window and door products"

September , 06 2010 - Architectural Visions Inc. (AVI), a Marvin Design Gallery, Atlanta’s exclusive source of Marvin window and door products, is pleased to announce it has achieved Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) Chain of Custody Certification and Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Chain of Custody Certification.

AVI President Peter Morrison said, "Our SFI and FSC chain of custody certifications build on our commitment to sustainability, benefiting all those who work with and live with Marvin windows and doors, as well as benefiting the environment itself. After passing a rigorous audit process, AVI demonstrated our ability to track the certified wood components of the Marvin products we provide."

By achieving these certifications, AVI is able to continue the chain of custody verification process that ensures responsibly harvested woods. In addition, for projects seeking LEED certification and working to achieve other green building standards, the ability for AVI to provide chain of custody documentation is of great value.

AVI shares the Marvin companies’ genuine appreciation for the vital role that forests play in the quality of life. Properly managed forests are able to supply a continual source of wood. In fact, annually, U. S. forest growth exceeds harvest. SFI and FSC are two separate organizations that have become integral to the growing demand for verified green building products, with many local governments mandating their use. In addition, FSC-certified wood is required in LEED-qualified projects.

About AVIAs a Marvin Design Gallery, AVI displays more Marvin products than any other home design showroom in the Atlanta, Georgia area. AVI also offers complementary products including fine millwork, architectural hardware, and interior and exterior doors. Making the customer experience the priority, AVI’s architecturally designed showrooms are staffed by veteran window design experts who guide architects, builders and homeowners from initial concept through installation to final completion of their home design projects.
