Following the launch of UNIQLO’s Fashion UK YouTube channel, the video platform has hosted the release of three Autumn Fashion videos. The three videos star the 6 competition winners of UNIQLO UK’s styling campaign, which integrated the social media platforms Twitter and Facebook, then later YouTube.

Each video offers styling advice from UNIQLO’s in-house stylist for the latest fashions this autumn. The first video was launched on 13th August 2010 and offers guidance on student fashion. The primary focus lies in showing people that shopping on a budget doesn’t have to be difficult and you can still keep up-to-date with all the latest fashions. Featuring some of the season’s must-have items, the video shows that college and university clothing can be stylish.

The second video was launched on 23rd August 2010 and is heavily focused around denim trends and casual clothing this autumn. UNIQLO’s stylist Scott shows 2 competition winners the various styles of jeans available and how to select the most appropriate for their taste and figure. The video also features some of the season’s hottest shirts with styles including the popular flannel shirt.

The final video was launched on 1st September 2010 and features some of UNIQLO’s new-in work clothing. Previously distinguished by their unique casual clothing styles, UNIQLO has started to expand their reach with the introduction of smart clothes alongside fashion and designer collections. Scott styles the final 2 competition winners in smart clothes whilst offering tips for how to keep individuality and still look smart for work.

The initial campaign sparked an increase in the fashion brand’s social media interaction and is already seeing a large number of visitors to the YouTube channel. Hoping to expand on this, UNIQLO are planning more social media initiatives in the near future.
