Healthy Times Newspaper The Journal of Psychosomatic Research, a major, peer-reviewed medical journal, has announced that it will publish the results of random control trials regarding the effectiveness of Mind-Body Bridging on insomnia. This represents a breakthrough for mind-body medicine, particularly because the results of the sleep trials represent an unprecedented advancement in mind-body medicine.

97% of Combat Veterans Improved Their Sleep
Mind-Body Bridging for Sleep – RCT

This research was conducted in a primary care medical clinic and consisted of 63 veterans with sleep problems. In two sessions, sleep and PTSD symptoms significantly improved in MBB vs. control. The findings of this completed study have been documented in the article Two Sessions of Sleep-Focused Mind-Body Bridging Improve Self-Reported Symptoms of Sleep and PTSD in Veterans: A Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial (Nakamura, Lipschitz, Landward, Kuhn, West).

94% of Cancer Patients Improve Their Sleep
Mind-Body Bridging for Sleep – RCT

This completed research was conducted with 60 cancer patients with sleep problems. Preliminary outcomes show marked improvement in sleep, depression and wellness scales in MBB group. The MBB group continued to improve two months after the last session compared to the sleep hygiene group. Self reported scales and biomarkers are continuing to be evaluated.

Mind-Body Bridging, an all natural treatment developed by Stanley, H. Block, MD, is a unique method of healing that induces a state of deep relaxation and “turns off” the mind chatter and spinning thoughts that are typically associated with the cause of insomnia. The success of the studies, as well as the general success of the sleep program, may be attributed to the simplicity of the model. Mind-Body Bridging quiets the mind and relaxes the body deeply, with very little training and minimal effort required, making the benefits available to a broad range of people.
