Asiabiz Services, a business solutions provider based in Singapore, offers three attractive business packages for foreign entrepreneurs in taking advantage of Singapore’s entrepreneurial landscape. One of its business specialists, Chi Han, remarks that businessmen have the options of relocating to the city-state or staying overseas.

“Should they desire to relocate to Singapore, they may opt for a company registration package with Employment pass or Entrepreneur pass feature,” Han says, indicating that both passes are the premier working visas in Singapore and neither has significant differences in characteristics. What they differ from, however, is the requirements.

Han elucidates on this. “Investors holding a Bachelor’s degree may be issued with an Employment pass upon complying with other eligibility requirements such as work experience and salary not plummeting below S$2,500.”

An investor earning S$2,500 qualifies for a Q1 pass, while P2 pass is meant for an investor receiving S$3,500 monthly salary. If the wages reach S$7,000, a P1 type of Employment pass is furnished.

“Businessmen whose credentials fall short of completing a tertiary education are not hindered from doing business in Singapore,” Hun beams, impressing that through an Entrepreneur pass, the investor could push through with business undertakings.

In both of these packages, Asiabiz Services shall make use of its nominee director service to complete the company registration with ACRA. The Companies Act of Singapore requires at least one shareholder, one resident director, and one company secretary to form a company. A resident director must be a citizen or a permanent resident. It could also be given to the foreign investor by virtue of a labor visa, thus, the Employment or Entrepreneur pass.

After the company is registered, Asiabiz Services shall proceed with the application of the labor pass. Upon claiming, the resident directorship is transferred from the nominee director to the investor. Say Hun adds that an Entrepreneur is required to submit a 10-page business proposal, highlighting the company’s activities, goals, and sources of finances to prove that it has the capacity to run a company including employing a certain number of the locals.

“Asiabiz Services shall do its utmost such as helping draft the business proposal to help the investor obtain the Entrepreneur pass.”

Moving forward, investors can stay offshore while maintaining a company in Singapore. “By availing our nominee director service, foreign investors can proceed with doing business in Singapore,” Han continues explicating, adding that foreign businessmen can make use of a tourist visa or any long term visas in Singapore to visit the premises and attend to business transactions.
