Kent, UK - February 22, 2011 -- This great feeling lasts for weeks after, and it is something that will be the source of fond memories in the future. When you have bought a used car, you are still going to be feeling happy and excited about it but those feelings are really intensified when you have bought a brand new car. So no matter how much you would love to own your own brand new car, is getting into debt for it something that you are willing to consider?
It costs a lot of money to pay for a brand new car and there are not a lot of people who will have that cash sitting in the bank so getting finance may be the only option. The fact that we are borrowing money means that we will likely end up spending a lot more money than what the car is actually worth. When we get finance we are setting ourselves up for years of repayments every month; we will still be paying this money when our new car is beginning to fall apart. The worrying thing is that we just don't know what the future has in store and just because we can afford repayments now doesn't mean we will be able to do the same in a few years time.
I really would recommend people buying a new car but it is a purchase that you have to give a lot of consideration to. As well as thinking about the repayments each month, you need to make sure that the running costs of the car are something you can afford. Don't just think about how you are going to feel paying the money back next month but in the years to come.
