Atlanta, GA, July 18, 2011 - Effective employee surveys are critical to the success and survival of an organization. No organization can achieve its goals without engaged and motivated employees. Nobody can engage and motivate employees without knowing what they think of the organization.

Unfortunately many leaders and managers think that they do need employee surveys or employee engagement efforts in today’s world. They believe that employees will stay because of the bad economy. Nothing could be further from the truth because good employees are always in demand and can find job opportunities even in today’s economic environment.

Taking the time to create an effective employee survey can show management what workers think of the organization and the leadership team. It can also identify problems that the management team can address.

Employee Surveys Could Save the Organization Money

Employee surveys can even help an organization save money while making it easier to retain good employees. If management can identify employee concerns and complaints and address them they could be able to retain good employees without increasing pay or benefits.

In many cases the factors that drive good employees to leave have little or nothing to do with salary. These factors can include: Frustration with unpopular or ineffective managers, annoying company policies, the feeling that management is unresponsive, poor attitudes and low employee morale.

Those problems can often be fixed with creative change management and effective leadership. The fixes often do not cost the money but they can retain effective employees. The beginning of such fixes is to develop effective employee surveys.

Identifying the source of common frustrations and complaints is the first step in raising morale and increasing employee engagement. The best means of identifying such problems is effective employee surveys.
