"One of the major advantages with Aromhuset's essences is that you choose the dosage yourself. With around 20 flavours to mix together you will be able to create your own unique tastes not found in the shops with just a little experimentation. "

Gert Strand AB has, for many years, worked on extracting exciting flavours for carbonated water. Today there are around 20 flavours in our range. Blueberry is a Swedish classic with plenty of uses other than flavouring carbonated water.

Blueberry is a distinct taste, with a good balance between acidity and a full-bodied forest flavour, exactly as it should be, and can be mixed with other tastes from Aromhuset's range. Blueberry is especially good in combination with raspberry, and for a real summer hit mix Aromhuset's Blueberry with a dollop of cream and eat with fresh raspberries. Half a cap (1.5ml) of essence per dl of cream gives an unmistakable taste of blueberries, but it is always best to experiment a little to find the best dose.

Adding the essence is simple, and is done using either the cap from the bottle, which measures 3ml, or with a special pipette.

All flavours from Aromhuset come in 30ml bottles. Salesman Thomas Ström says that the small bottles, which measure no more than 8cm, contain enough flavour for around 15 litres of carbonated water, and this will give the water a stronger taste than any pre-flavoured carbonated water found in the shops.

Gert Strand, who has extracted all the flavours, makes the recommendation to start with 2ml of essence per litre of carbonated water. This dosage will provide a distinct taste where all the different elements of the essence can be discerned. If you only want a light flavouring then half this dosage is enough, and for stronger tastes simply increase the dosage as desired.

A couple of tricks for making the most of the essence: make sure that the carbonated water is cold, and add the essence a couple of days before you plan on drinking it. Carbonated water is excellent at retaining flavours and keeps best at cold temperatures.

One of the major advantages with Aromhuset's essences is that you choose the dosage yourself. With around 20 flavours to mix together you will be able to create your own unique tastes not found in the shops with just a little experimentation.

Gert Strand AB is looking for more importers for their range of innovative flavourings, and with so much focus on health these days the zero sugar, artificial sweetener and colouring content of these products means they are perfect for the current market. Consumers will get the chance to drink flavoured carbonated water without a single calorie, making it suitable for everybody from children to diabetics, as well as those simply looking for a healthier alternative.

Other flavours available include exotic tastes such as Pineapple and Melon, children's favourites like Toffee and Banana, classics like Apple and Elderflower, and more mature flavours like Absinthe and Pomegranate. This varied combination gives a range of flavours suitable for all ages and tastes.
